Today we share the news that we’re progressing plans for two regeneration projects in Ashford with a combined GDV of £180 million, both within easy reach of Ashford International Station.
The first scheme, located next to Victoria Way, will help to build a new community and link Ashford town centre with Victoria Park to the south. This area has already seen £25 million of public realm investments and improved highway infrastructure.
In partnership with Quinn Estates, we have submitted plans for a total of 660 homes to be developed on this site. 400 of these homes with be delivered by Neighbour, a specialist residential partner, as high quality homes for the private rented sector (PRS).
Our second scheme will create 200 homes, a 120-bed hotel, an Aldi food store and a brand new brewery and visitor centre for local company, Chapel Down. We have exchanged contracts subject to planning with the Homes and Communities agency and Chapel Down successfully secured £1million in crowd funding to part-fund the site acquisition. We aim to submit a planning application on this site in April 2016.
We look forward to being part of this exciting chapter for Ashford.
